Novel uses for skills, volume one of thirty-eight.
- Intimidate may be used to make brash, heartfelt declarations as well as threatening intimations. In both cases, it is not what you say, but the force with which you say it (and thus the degree to which the convictions behind it are revealed).
- Diplomacy is a catch-all blend of A. knowing what to do in reasonably formal situations (etiquette) and B. being charming enough to pull it off. It may be used to charm the pants off of someone and also determine what one should do with the aforementioned pants afterward.
- Streetwise is like Nature or Dungeoneering, but for cities. Any application of the other two may be performed with Streetwise. Furthermore, Streetwise functions like Diplomacy for the lower classes and rougher elements of society. For instance, it may be used to intuit the proper way in which one ought greet his homies, the likely meaning of a given gang sign or tag, and whether someone is likely to be “holding” a given illicit substance.
