- Humans are probably the most populous race of the Middle Realm, although Elves are a close second. There is debate among scholars as to which race came first, although most agree to a rough consensus concerning their origins; either a proto-man was exposed to a powerful magic field, splitting an elf and a human out of him, or a proto-elf was exposed to a powerful anti-magic field, causing his magical side to flee the now thoroughly common human side. Debate also rages as to whether the Hyllken were a third product of this event, or perhaps even the precursor race the other two split from.
- Humans vary widely in temperament and physiological characteristics. Practically every imaginable combination of hair, skin and eye color can be found in the world today (and, thanks to the chaotic flux of the Convergence, a few you may not be able to imagine…)
- Humans have uniformly strong personalities and receive +2 Charisma by default, plus a bonus they have earned through training in their chosen trade, which may go to any statistic they wish, except Charisma. (See Houserule Note G for more information.)
- Humans are medium-sized. Big surprise, hey?
